At home in the oven, on the stove, on the grill or over the campfire. Skillet may be used on various heat sources including gas, electric, induction and ceramic-glass top stoves and ovens. When using on glass stove tops, be careful not to slide the cookware around as it's possible to scratch the surface. Seasoned cast iron can also be used on the grill or outdoor fire and coals for camp cooking. Begin heating cookware on low and slowly bring heat up to medium or medium/high. Always remove cookware from the stovetop after cooking.
Staub Royal Blue Round Cocotte Enameled Cast Iron, 5.5 Quart is best for youThe French oven is a timeless standby for stews, roasts, soups, casseroles and other one-pot classics. Staub has perfected this tradition in the signature 'La Cocotte' (co-cot) French Oven, the choice of some of the world's best chefs. The traditional round design has self-basting spikes for continuous, natural basting. When your meal is ready, La Cocotte moves beautifully from the stove to your table. Each piece of Staub cookware has been personally designed by Mr. Francis Staub and individually crafted in a sand mold. The molds are destroyed after each use, ensuring that your piece is a one-of-a-kind creation. Enameled cast iron is a traditional and strong material, perfect for low heat cooking. It retains heat better than any material, including stainless steel and aluminum. The equal distribution of heat will eliminate hot spots, allowing you to cook the most delicate dishes. All Staub products are enameled on the inside and out, including the Black Matte finish. The special black matte enamel interior does not require seasoning and will not react to acidic foods. Because of the technically advanced properties of this interior, the more you use your Staub product, the better it will perform. The oils used and created when cooking will penetrate the pores of the matte enamel and create a natural, smooth non-stick surface.10-1/4' diameter x 5-1/4' H, with a 5.5 quart capacity
