At home in the oven, on the stove, on the grill or over the campfire. Skillet may be used on various heat sources including gas, electric, induction and ceramic-glass top stoves and ovens. When using on glass stove tops, be careful not to slide the cookware around as it's possible to scratch the surface. Seasoned cast iron can also be used on the grill or outdoor fire and coals for camp cooking. Begin heating cookware on low and slowly bring heat up to medium or medium/high. Always remove cookware from the stovetop after cooking.

Cast iron, though heavy, has incredible heat retention and allows for slow, even heating. Can be used to marinate, refrigerate and freeze your favorite meals. A porcelain enamel coating is applied over the cast iron which prevents rusting, eliminates the need to season the pan and allows for more thorough cleaning. The color pigments used in porcelain enamel coating allows for vibrant and fashionable red exteriors. For best results while cooking with this Dutch oven, temperatures of 500 degrees or less in oven (lid oven-safe up to 350 degrees) and medium on a cook top are recommended. USE & CARE: Before first use, porcelain cast iron cookware should be washed in hot soapy water using a soft sponge or dishcloth. Pans should then be rinsed and dried. Do not allow your cookware to air dry or put away wet. Completely hand dry cookware before storing. The porcelain enamel surface does not require seasoning as with typical cast iron. Heat settings of medium or lower will give the best results when cooking with porcelain cast iron cookware, and please do not heat an empty pan. This product can be used on all cooking surfaces as well as in the oven but be advised to lift the cookware to move across glass or ceramic surfaces. The cooking vessel is safe to 500ºF. Do not use under a broiler, in a microwave oven, or over a campfire. Always use nylon, wood, or plastic tools with porcelain cookware as metal tools can scratch the enamel. Clean your cookware after each use. Use a mild detergent, wipe the pan with a soft sponge or dishcloth in hot water and rinse. Do not use abrasive cleaning products such as steel wool, scouring pads, or abrasive cleansers. Never put Porcelain cast iron cookware in the dishwasher. Be sure to completely dry the pan before storing. Please do not air dry. Be careful to store porcelain cast iron so that it does not rub or scratch against other cookware. Be advised not to drop or hit the cookware against a hard surface as this can cause the porcelain to chip and crack. This cookware is heavy – please handle with care.
